Dimraeth Pets Guide — All 9 Locations, Roles & Unlocks
Dimraeth pets are combat companions, not cosmetics: they follow you into the world, fight alongside you, carry items, level up, and can be fed and renamed. There is no taming minigame — the whole system opens through Myrll. Here is everything verified about the 9 pets and how to get them. Last verified October 18, 2026.
What Pets Do
- Follow you in the world and fight alongside you, each with distinct abilities.
- Level up and gain power as you play.
- Carry items for you, and can be fed and renamed.
- A pet HUD gives three stances — Attack, Follow, Stay — plus a feed button. Pets are greyed out when they are not in your current scene.
- The Courier function sends loot straight to your Sanctum chests.
How to Unlock the Pet System
- There is no taming skill — the companion system opens through Myrll: complete her quest and invite her to the Sanctum.
- After that, pets are found in the wild and unlocked or claimed through her — most are purchased or traded through Myrll rather than caught.
- Example: the Fangra Cub unlocks by reaching the Beast-Occupied Ruins, defeating the Alpha Wolf, and returning to Myrll; the Hound appears in her trade options later.
- Note: first-party patch notes never fully explain how pets are originally acquired — the routes above come from player guides.
The 9 Pets by Role
| Role | Pets | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Cats — support | Moon Cat, War Cat, Silver Cat | Buffs: Moon Cat regenerates Concentration, War Cat generates Rage, Silver Cat gives a damage-absorbing barrier |
| Birds — status | Carrion Parrot, Frost Owl, Blight Crow | Spread status effects: Bleed, Chill and Poison |
| Dogs — attackers | Hound, Fangra Cub, Ember Hound | Damage dealers: the Hound has a stunning pounce, the Fangra Cub adds Strike damage with Bleeding and Chill, the Ember Hound adds Fire damage and Burning |
Where to Find Each Pet
- Moon Cat — northwest part of the Shard Court, just east of the Golem’s Garden.
- Frost Owl — southwest of Corin, north of the Over-run Shrine (keep heading north until the path ends).
- Fangra Cub — Beast-Occupied Ruins: defeat the Alpha Wolf bounty, then claim it from Myrll.
- Hound — appears in Myrll’s trade options later in the campaign.
- The remaining five locations are not publicly documented yet — the full pet locations guide has every confirmed route.
Pet Management
- Pet slots: you can only field a limited number at once.
- The pen: unused pets can be kept in a pen and gain XP passively while you use another pet.
- Feed: the HUD feed button keeps your active companion going.
- Rename: pets can be renamed, so the community calls the same pet different things.
