Dimraeth Archetype Picker — Which Class & Race Should You Play?
Nine archetypes are live, each with its own skill tree — and the race × class pairing matters more than most new players expect. Answer three questions and the picker scores all 9 archetypes against our launch-window tier list reasoning. The result links straight to the matching build guide.
S tier · Human Brawler
Balanced melee and the safest first character in the game. Forgiving stamina economy, strong parry timing, no real weakness.
You picked melee + a forgiving playstyle — Human Brawler is the S-tier safe pick.
A tier · Elf Brawler
Lighter melee with mobility; leans on dodges over blocks. Slightly less raw pressure in exchange for repositioning.
You picked melee with mobility — Elf Brawler trades a little pressure for repositioning.
A tier · Minotaur Brawler
Heaviest melee — highest damage pressure, slowest recovery. Pair with stamina gear to cover the gap.
You picked melee with durability — Minotaur Brawler is the hardest-hitting frontline.
S tier · Human Mage
Generalist caster with broad elemental coverage across the 5 slots. The most forgiving spell setup in the launch build.
You picked casting with a forgiving playstyle — Human Mage is the S-tier generalist.
A tier · Elf Mage
Casting-focused with positioning tools — strongest at range, weaker if enemies close the gap.
You picked casting with mobility — Elf Mage keeps range with positioning tools.
B tier · Minotaur Mage
Durable caster that trades raw output for survivability while casting; slow to reposition.
You picked casting with durability — Minotaur Mage survives where other casters run.
B tier · Human Shadow
The flexible Shadow pick — closest to a generalist, without a standout strength.
You picked the new tree with balance — Human Shadow is the flexible all-round Shadow.
C tier · Elf Shadow
Fastest Shadow variant — pure hit-and-run, but fragile if caught.
You picked mobility and the new tree — Elf Shadow is the purest hit-and-run build.
C tier · Minotaur Shadow
Closer to a bruiser than an assassin — tankier, slower.
You picked durability and the new tree — Minotaur Shadow plays like a bruiser.
How the Scoring Works
Each answer adds points to matching archetypes based on the reasoning in our tier list and the per-class build guides: S-tier Human Brawler and Human Mage score highest for "safest first character", the A-tier Elves score for mobility and specialism, Minotaurs for durability, and the Shadow tree for the experimental pick. The weights are editorial — not game data — and we show the runner-up so you can compare. The 9 archetypes are only the launch set: 39 more arrive across Early Access.
After You Pick
- Read the matching build guide for spell loadouts and gear priorities.
- Remember the tree is per race × class pairing — the picker scores archetypes, not just classes.
- Treat your first pick as permanent until respec rules are documented (see character creation).
- New to the game entirely? The beginner guide covers the systems every archetype uses.
