Dimraeth Multiplayer Guide — Co-op Explained
Dimraeth is a 1–8 player co-op RPG. It is not an MMO and has no dedicated servers — co-op runs peer-to-peer, and solo play is fully viable from start to finish. Here is how multiplayer actually works.
Co-op Basics
- 1–8 players, seamless co-op: join a friend’s world any time during the campaign.
- Solo is fully supported: the entire game can be played alone.
- Not an MMO: it is a co-op RPG designed for small groups (up to 8).
- No local split-screen: co-op is online only.
Split Persistence (What Carries Between Worlds)
| Carries with your hero | Stays in the host’s world |
|---|---|
| Hero level, gear, inventory, spells | Story progress |
| Personal progression and unlocks | Allies and NPC relationships |
| Your character between sessions | Buildings and base state |
Peer-to-Peer Network
The game uses a peer-to-peer system — there are no dedicated or private servers. Connection quality depends on the host’s connection. Mudtek runs a looking-for-group channel on the official Discord for finding co-op partners.
Cross-Platform
At Early Access the game is on PC (Steam) only, so cross-platform co-op is not a factor yet. See the platforms page for console status.
